The Movement

The Qaffal classical QC10 is powered by a Swiss hand made mechanical self winding movement of the finest quality. The movement encompasses a number of complications including calendar, day and month indications and the most beautiful of complications, a large moon phase indicator. 189 indivividual components are ingeniously engineered to give life to this beautifully crafted classical watch. The movement is equipped with a double barrel and a variable inertia balance, giving the movement better operating stability and optimal timing. The movement contains 28 ruby jewel bearings and ceramic ball bearings. Bevels, counterbores and apertures are diamond polished. Bridges are hand-bevelled with piercer. The classical movement has a power reserve of 50 hours and is COSC certified.

The heart of the Qaffal diver QD10 is a Swiss made mechanical self-winding movement with a twin mainspring barrel that beats at a frequency of 4 Hz or 28’800 oscillations per hour. The power reserve is a huge 120 hours or 5 days which puts the diver at the forefront of mechanical watches. The diver is simplistic yet elegant and has a horizontally centred date position located between 4 and 5 o’clock for optimal viewing. 26 jewel bearings allow all rotating parts to function with minimal resistance, meaning the Diver will last for generation after generation. The rotor is custom built in the Qaffal caligraphic logo and each single movement is COSC certified.
